As chairman and former president and CEO of Stonyfield Farm, an organic yogurt company
based in New Hampshire, Mr. Hirshberg is concerned with how the food safety and how the food industry impacts environmental health.
According to him, 50 countries including Russia and China mandate the labeling of
genetically modified foods. His discussion about the increased use of pesticides with GMO
crops and the effects this can have on the atmosphere and our ability to breathe clean air merits our concern.
